Navigare Yachting charter school

We offer you the opportunity to work as a Navigare Yachting skipper or host / hostess!

Unlike any other working environment yours will include the wind in your hair, sun in your face, splashing waves, luxurious yachts and good-humored guests ready to experience a great holiday.

Our school programme is one of a kind and we have been training the best sailors within the charter world for over a decade. The main scope is for the participants to feel confident enough to adequately react in any situation that might occur during a charter. Those who finish our school with a passing grade will be given the opportunity to work for us and to combine business and pleasure in the shape of a challenging, diverse and active job.

Future skippers will receive extensive classes, which will help them to gain confidence, to feel relaxed but in control and to truly make their clients feel that they are in good hands. A future skipper will practice sailing, motoring and docking to handle all of the sailing boats we offer in Greece, Croatia and Turkey. It’s also extremely important to learn how to perform simple repairs on the boat and engine and to practice different ways on how to implement a regatta in corporate sailing events.

Our future hosts and hostesses will also learn enough about boat handling to be able to bring the yacht and crew to safety and how to handle a small but cosy yacht galley. These jobs can and will be extremely hard and stressful from time to time and it is important to keep in mind that this is not a job where you can learn from your mistakes whilst performing. You will be given structured and complete knowledge of how to work together as a group, lead teams and react in stressful situations.

Besides the school programme, two weeks of sailing in one of the areas where you will be working will help you learn to recommend the best restaurants and the most beautiful bays as well as to timely recognise sudden weather changes. After these two weeks, you will know the area like the back of your pocket.
